FED UP: That’s reportedly how members of Vice President JD Vance’s Secret Service detail now describe their frustration after months of last-minute travel requests and what some agents view as excessive use of taxpayer-funded resources.

A new report by Carol Leonnig and Vaughn Hillyard states that some U.S. Secret Service agents have raised internal concerns about frequent last-minute schedule changes involving Vice President JD Vance’s travel. According to the report, the unexpected adjustments have forced agents to cancel planned days off, quickly reorganize security operations, and incur additional costs for taxpayers.

One request highlighted in the report involved a proposal to use Marine Two to transport Vice President Vance and his young son to a golf lesson at Joint Base Andrews. The flight was ultimately canceled because of severe weather.

Current and former Secret Service personnel interviewed for the report said they could not recall previous vice presidents using a military helicopter for a child’s local activity. One source reportedly remarked, “Pence and Harris never pulled anything like that.”

The report comes as the Secret Service continues to deal with staffing shortages and significant overtime demands while carrying out its mission of protecting the president, vice president, and their families.
