Michelle Obama’s brother, Craig Robinson, recently shared a humorous story about his sister’s early relationship with Barack Obama during an episode of their IMO podcast featuring actress Tracee Ellis Ross. Robinson admitted that when Michelle first introduced Barack to the family, he never imagined the relationship would last very long. He jokingly recalled thinking it would end within a month, based on his impressions and Michelle’s previous dating history. Michelle laughed off the remark, insisting she had enjoyed several serious relationships before meeting Barack.
Robinson also remembered being asked to play basketball with Barack, explaining that his family believed the game would reveal his character. After spending time with him on the court, Robinson said he came away impressed and quickly realized Barack was a genuinely good person.
The conversation resurfaced as online speculation about the Obamas’ marriage continues. Barack Obama has previously acknowledged that the demands of his presidency placed strain on their relationship and said he has worked to make up for that lost time. Michelle has firmly dismissed divorce rumors, explaining that her recent decisions to skip certain public events reflected personal choices focused on her well-being, not problems in her marriage.
